Straightening crooked scans
Pages that went into the scanner at a slight angle look sloppy and are harder for OCR to read. Turning them back by the same small angle, often 1 or 2 degrees, makes them look straight again.
For quarter turns, use Rotate PDF instead: it changes the page's rotation setting without touching the content, which is lossless.
Tip: Not sure which way? Positive angles turn clockwise. If the text slopes down to the right, try a small negative angle.
