Why use it

What this free tool does

Smarter images

Photos are resized to a sensible resolution and recompressed; drawings and screenshots stay crisp.

Text stays sharp

Text, vector graphics and fonts are never turned into pictures.

Repeated data stored once

Fonts and images that appear many times, common in merged files, are kept only once.

Hidden data removed

Thumbnails, design-app data and XMP metadata can be removed.

See the saving

Each file shows its size before and after. If a file can't get smaller, the original is kept.

Many files at once

Compress a whole batch and download them together.

Which level should I choose?

Recommended is right for most documents: photos stay clear on screen and in print, and scanned files often shrink by 70 to 90 percent. Choose Light when the PDF will be printed professionally, and Strong when you need the smallest possible file for an upload limit.

A PDF that is mostly text is usually small already, because its size comes from fonts rather than pictures. Those files shrink a little, and if they can't get smaller at all, your original is kept so you never get a bigger file.

Tip: Merged several PDFs? Compress the merged file too: fonts and images repeated across the files are stored only once.

Your files stay on your device

Most online PDF sites upload your documents to their servers. Aleynray Ai does the work inside your browser instead, on your own computer or phone.

Nothing is sent anywhere, so contracts, bank statements, IDs and medical forms stay private, and there is no waiting for uploads.

  • Free, with no sign-up or limits
  • No watermark
  • Files never leave your device
  • Opens password-protected PDFs
  • Works on desktop and mobile

Frequently asked questions

How much smaller will my PDF get?

It depends on what makes it big. Scans and photo-heavy PDFs often shrink by 70 to 95 percent. Text-only PDFs change little because they are already compact.

Will compression make the text blurry?

No. Text and vector drawings are not touched. Only pictures are resized and recompressed.

Is there a file size limit?

No set limit. Very large files depend on your device's memory and may take a while on a phone.

Why is my compressed file the same size?

The PDF had little to compress, for example text with small images. In that case the original is kept unchanged.

Can I compress password-protected PDFs?

Yes. Enter the password when asked. The compressed copy has no password.

Is it free?

Yes. There is no sign-up, no limit on files and no watermark.

Are my files uploaded?

No. The tool runs inside your web browser and works on the file on your own device. Nothing is sent to a server, so private documents stay private.
